We are proud to announce that the DDW Die Deutsche Wirtschaft is integrating data provided by PatentSight to their DDW Rankings. The Patent Asset Index™ will now be one of the top 26 highest weighted indicators and criterion forming the DDW index, for DDW company valuation for Germany.
“Patents are one of the most important criteria when it comes to evaluating the innovative strength of a company and thus its importance for the market ”, says Michael Oelmann, Managing Director of DDW Die Deutsche Wirtschaft.
The DDW index value is the basis for the inclusion and ranking of companies in some of the DDW databases, like the DDW master database and the “Mittelstand 10,000” ranking.
PatentSight Data Enhances Qualitative Measures for DDW Rankings
The DDW evaluates the strength of companies in various fields like finance, consulting, media and tech and creates rankings for the most relevant players in the market. The DDW rankings and databases provide the basis for successful market intelligence in the German economy. These rankings are comprised of various key figures which are based on both quantitative and qualitative data. The inclusion of PatentSight data as an indicator for the DDW ranking index for determining relevant market players in Germany, will contribute deeper insights into the world of innovation and provide more accuracy to the leading standards of the DDW databases.
About the Patent Asset Index™
The Patent Asset Index™ of a patent portfolio is defined as the aggregate strength of all the patents the portfolio contains. The strength of each individual patent is measured by its Competitive Impact™. The Competitive Impact consists of two dimensions: Technology Relevance™ and Market Coverage™.
